CoVID suppression info Regarding the 2020 season

Dear All,

Due to the Nature of Face painting , such as being in close proximity, touching faces, and the current health concerns with suppressing CoVID 19, I will not be accepting Gigs, doing festival work, Or any other Face Painting events or opportunities For the remainder of the year 2020. I will re-assess my Business goals and plans come March of 2021. Thank you for your understanding. This was a personal choice, and does not reflect the opinions of any other person.

Sincerely Mary-aka - owner of Face Painting Fun By Mary

P.S. ~ I will miss all your smiling faces, and hope you see you all on the other side of this year. :)

Summer is in full Swing

Well, it's been a great Summer so far. Finished two big festivals, and of course I continue to Paint at Salsa Leedos in Riverton on Monday nights (with a bit of balloon twisting on the side.) We got some rain at both my festivals ( a bit of an understatement for Pony Express days, but accurate for Summerfest.) Wanted to post some fun Pictures.

This has been yet another busy season in the world of Face Painting. It's always fun to see the smiles when people see themselves in the mirror. Often there are a few top contenders for most requested face paint like tiger or butterfly or fox, however this year, most requested face is UNICORN! three times as many requests then any other design. So I thought I would share a few of my unicorn faces from this year or two. Also a few other faces I  like, that may not be unicorns, but are still fun.

Unicorn Butterfly- 3D horns cost extra

And for one of my daughters birthdays I made her a super deluxe unicorn balloon, which I don't sell because it takes to long to make. I do have smaller Line type balloon unicorns however I couldn't find the pictures for my smaller unicorns since they are buried somewhere deep in my files.

So I have been having so much fun Painting, that I have failed to keep up my blog. I was chatting with a friendly lady about my work at one of my errands, and was describing my liberty crown, and she asked if it was on my website, so Here it is, along with some other fun faces I painted at the same event.

The force is strong this Year

My Daughter's girl scout troop was doing a star wars themed cookie booth this year, so on one of the days I brought along my face paints and painted up some of the girls as well as their family members. The storm Trooper was at a later event Event(however I wanted to share it with this batch), and the darth maul with Horns was last Halloween as one of my halloween appointments.

September colors

For september, you could find me at Logan Gardener's Market, but I also did River Hight's "Apple days". lots of fun. this giraffe mask was from the gardeners market, as was the quick strawberry design, and though you may think strawberries were out of season as I thought, the Berry people across from me have ever bearing strawberries and were selling them when this picture was taken.

July

This month is the wonderful 4th of July, which I spent down at the Hyrum City Square. I have enjoyed this event for several years now :)
Also this month, I decided to try the cache valley cruise-in with my little sister, since they were trying a new "womans world" thing.  It might take a couple years for this event to catch on.

Anyway, it celebration of the patriotic: i'm sharing my eagle head with the flag:

June and Summerfest

Summerfest is always my largest event for the year. This year, we invited a forth Artist to join our booth. So it was Sandy, Shanna, Penny and myself (Mary Monson). Lots of fun, and not quite as busy since we had the extra artist, but it meant shorter waits in the line for our customers. There were so many pictures from summerfest that it was hard to choose just one or two...but here are a couple anyway....

Farmers Market started with a bang and a huge turn out. Thanks to the warm winter we had, many vendors had plants and there were even a few veggies. It was super busy and fun. :)

Halfway through October

Soooo...Had a busy last couple of weeks. the First picture is me and a friend from Cache County's Gardener's market on Oct 1st. I was using some liquid bling to bring out the black on both of our faces...it's a fun addition. The pumpkin face is from the last Market of the season, and there were a lot of kids in costume. this kid had a cute pumpkin on his shirt, and was just thrilled with his pumpkin face. the last picture is from the "What a Witch Wants" event in downtown Logan. Figured what better to commemorate the event with then a Witch.

August and September

Why am I grouping 2 months together? well on August 10th my camera had a tragic accedent and landed on it's lense, causeing the zoom mechanism to break. for weeks I looked at new cameras, but all the new variations of similar cameras didn't seem to have the same wonderful features I enjoyed about my camera, so I finally got my trusty old camera fixed at a repair shop out of town. After all it's been through, i have named my camera "Eeyore" mostly because of it's color.  So...here's one from August....this girl loves purple and at this particular farmers market she got the lips fish. The other picture is from a tailgate event in Sept. for CSU when they came to town to play the Aggies. Great Game Faces!!!
